I have two bitches for years. Few months back one of my neighbours relatives came to stay in our neighbourhood, with their 2.8 years old GSD(male). Few days back I visited their place. When I entered into their room the dog came, befriended me and sat beside me taking my commands. But after ten minutes or so he started humpty dance putting her hands on my shoulder. All the neighbours were very embarassed to see him reacting this way. I was also surprised, becaused none of my bitches came into season nor was the possibility that he could get any odour from me likewise. It continued. Then I came home in the late afternoon. In evening the younger bithch came into her season.
What I would like to know that did the dog possibly sniffed the bitch reaching her season and beheaved likewise? Or that was a simple problem lies with the pedigree/ bloodline of the breed?
Because I have seen GSDs beforehand who never reacted this way even after getting the human scent.
