Last couple weeks my 10 y/o GSD has been acting very puppy like as compared to her older less agile, mellower, achy self. While it has been nice seeing her jump and play I thaught it a bit odd.Last few days she has urinated and deficated in the house(usually over night) but tonight I came home let dogs out,I go with them ,she came in went into kitchen and pooped.I am a stay at home person,so she gets out alot during the day, have consistant food schedule,no changes in any household things. She also seems to be very pushy, she is protection trained, highdrive,I was just making a cup of coffee and she actually jumped up to counter surf, right next to me,unheard of behavior with me near(she may try and sneak if I am not around but very rarely since hips have been achy. Thanks for any feedback. Also no s/s of disc problems.
Maybe you've been cutting her slack because you were thinking she was "old and achy" and she's actually feeling pretty darn good, and decided to see how far
things could go?
Will take that in consideration,I have backed off obedience work, and have had to work in the past to keep her knowing her limits, she is very much an Alpha.
