I realize this post is more for input from the ladies, but any hair savy guys feel free to chime in I've had long curly blonde hair for my entire life....it's naturally curly. Having a 9 month old baby though and a crazy hectic life, I'm ready for a change. I have an appointment next Tuesday to get it colored and cut but I need input on the color and length I should go. I'm fine with straightening it so straight syles are fine. Any suggestions? I have done some modeling in the past and this is one of my headshots that shows how my hair currently looks. My husband thinks I should go darker...like a chesnut or auburn. I'm game for any suggestions...I just need a change! http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab187/OliviaB444/Oliviaedit.jpg
Such a pretty girl!
Cut it all you want and hold off on the dye. The colors don't last, damage your hair, and always end up clashing with your skin tone, or looking after awhile like something not found in nature.
Besides, no matter what men say, they like blonds>others.
I'm an ex hair-stylist who used to color my hair a different color every two weeks or so. Color isn't too hard on hair, but straightener can be tough and bleach is murder.
I agree with Betty that you are lovely the way you are, but understand the need for change. I don't have any suggestions for a cut, but I think a deep auburn would be stunning with your eye color, especially if they foil in two or three different shades
I also used to change my style often being a hairdresser for 10 yrs. When my kids were young I cut more shoulder length so as not to shock myself being used to long hair. Your curls and color are beautiful, I also have blonde hair but recently went darker and auburn like it but probably will go back to the safe way---foils, what I love about foils is that they can put more than one color in --a darker one and a slightly lighter one without damaging the hair. My daughter has curly hair and I bought the instyler--its easier than a straightener and keeps the hair soft when you straighten it. I always put a protectant spray on her hair before any straightening. Hope that helps and not too confusing. If you need any help with products let me know,I still buy them at the distributor for hairdressers for a fraction of the costs.best wishes lisa

Olivia, i feel your pain.
coming from another naturally curly haired girl, i know how frustrating having this type of hair can be.
If you go too short you look like a Chia-Pet.
from my past experience....if you want to go a bit shorter make sure to keep the layers long. mine is just above the soulder right now, but i have had it much shorter.
shorter curly hair is also easier to straighten, if that's your thing. At the lenght my hair is now it takes about 45 minutes from start to finish to straighten.
colour wise you can always do the foil thing someone mentioned.
Thats what i do. That way you don't have to colour as often and you can get more low lites in your hair to se how you like a darker colour.
im not posting a pic...im at work. But im on FB if you want to see that I know what you're talking about...lol.

Does that thing really work? im always looking for another option for straightening my hair. I can't do it on my own, i always have to wait until i go see my hairdresser to get it done.
