Drs. Foster & Smith Deluxe Orthopedic Pad
This is what I have for my 90# GSD; she luvs!!
I didn't know how to copy link; I paid about $100 for bed, plastic zipper liner, & a zipper washable cover!!
She always has her hips on this bed, wether her head is on it or not!
Just wanted to add, I also have the sheepskin bed sold here at Leerburg, in warmer months, that is her favorite!
yes that is the one we want to get him, the orthopedic one =) and 100 isn't bad at all for a large bed. All of petsmart/petcos are super expensive, even ones that look cheap!

Yes, & this bed referenced above, I can vouch for = It really keeps it shape, does not flatten out.
I had some of the cheaper beds also, & I had a vet tell me to replace them yearly, per the bacteria growth in the filling! I had never heard of this before this vet mentioned it to me; but made sense, reason I bought the Waterproof Plastic zippered liner cover, to keep foam clean, for the investment!
An added plus, I think these beds are on sale!
Also, I measured, trying to figure rite size to purchase, I bought the large, it is rite size for my girl!

I didn't really think about the child/dog issue til it was brought up . I understand though! and Our mattress is on the floor right now, so there is no worry of falling.
I've seen one too many "Beloved family pet eats baby's genitals" stories, probably.

I would have never thought about that either! I didn't see the waterproof plastic liner but I will look. Totally worth it!

If you type in search engine: Dr Foster Smith Deluxe Orthopedic Pad
it takes you to page to order, with link to plastic liner for ordering.
Well worth the investment!
