Agree to disagree is ok by me.
After all, I'm not here to convert anybody. There are teachers and there are doers, and I think I am the latter. I apparently didn't do a very good job of explaining this method. Oh well, I guess I'll keep my day job.
Not to get off topic, but the belief that animals don't think is interesting to me. Has this been discussed here already? Did Ed or another write an article about this? I'm curious to know more about this.
Obedience does equal control, however, it only changes the physical manifestaion of an element of the dog's temperment. By this I mean that in the event the dog should "think" it might be able to act without fear of retribution, he will continue to behave in a manner consistent with his temperment or constitution. Obedience gives us only the control we care to exercise. Should the dog be truely agrresive and not be a mis diagnosed fear biter, I have only one suggestion...........send it to VanCamp or myself and we will "learn to live with it".
The tree of Freedom needs to be nurtured with the blood of Patriots and tyrants. Thomas Paine
Perhaps another thread "do dogs think" would be the way to go here and this thread can continue with the original topic. I think that that would be the way to go. I think ya'll would agree with me.
