I've noticed the past 2 mornings that Louie's stomach has been gurgling and growling frequently and often loudly (enough to wake me up). And this is after his early morning (7am) walk where his stools have been normal. There's no smelly gas or anything like that either. And his behavior is normal. We're feeding him a raw diet of ground beef/kale & squash puree/pumpkin/salmon oil in the morning (9-10am) and chicken rmb at night (7-8pm).

My Rotty does that, I haven't noticed anything problematic. My stomach makes loud noises too... i would assume its no different from a persons stomach making noises as they got hungry. But I'll be watching the thread if it is problematic i would like to know
So, here goes the human GI nurses opinion again...
It's no different than what you're stomach does when you're hungry. It's just noised caused by the contraction of the gastric muscles churning and pushing food, liquid and digestive juices around to create chyme. Along with this are pocketrs of air and gasses which cause the noises you hear. These noises still occur even when there is food in your stomach but are muted. Sort of like sticking a bunch of tennis balls in a dryer alone vs with a bunch of jeans or towels or something.
It can be a sign of something more serious, but if it was it would most likely be accompanied by other GI symptons such as N/V, diarrhea, etc.
I noted some of this with my dog also, in the evenings, & it caused me some concern.
I added digestive enzymes/probiotic powder to her meals of ground venison.
Haven't noticed it lately, but I also can't say the above is the reason. I have read that the above helps with grass eating, yellow bile vomit issues, but I don't know. She wasn't vomiting, but my worry meter notes everything!!
