I hadn't heard of them, they're cute. I used to have a pair of Olde English banties for pets. "Ricky" and "Lucy" were a lot of fun.
I'm putting in my order to McMurray hatchery for their brown egg layer collection and some exotic colored guineas to add to my bunch, but I think I'll have to pass on any roosters right now. I'm sure my neighbors are annoyed enough at my guineas racket, I sure don't want to add crowing to the annoyance. Plus I don't want to hear that starting at 4 a.m. myself!
LOL... I don't know if you've ever heard a Serama cockle-dodlle-do
but even there little voice goes a long way! My brother has been asking me to move them cause he is woken by them. I NEVER hear them, I always wake up to the hens squawking for food.
Have you seen Cackle hatchery? They are a little per chick for some of the breeds but I like to look at the pictures to see what I might expect them to look like grown.
