Wow, I was sitting here looking into my other forums that I'm a member of and I realized that I have neglected a lot of them! I joined this forum back in '06 looking to add a GSD into my life. No worries I still plan on it, but I have ventured out into other breeds as well over the time. Its kind of hard to choose a breed, since sometimes you want to have experience with them all, . I still want a GSD, my original plans was to have one for personal protection, etc. I don't know, it would depend now on what type of life I have after I finish university and I still have to find a job for my degree. Which is teaching, its hard for prospective teacher's to find jobs right now.
As I mentioned in a previous post currently, I want to get a foreclosure so I'm looking at what the prices on them are right now. I also want to own a rottweiler or doberman (besides the GSD) someday and I'm hoping for a four dog home. I may look into shelters and see if I can find a cross between GSD and perhaps lab; I just have to see.
