We are really excited to get the Michael Ellis DVDs. We figure the cost of the DVDs would be about equal to the cost of what we would pay for our local obedience classes. After doing lots of research and seeing first hand what was being taught at our local obedience class, the common sense solution to us is to train using Michael Ellis' DVDs. We are looking at it as an investment and not a drain on our finances. Thank you so much for sharing your opinion of the DVDs. Obviously you are experienced in dog training and your comment helped solidify our decision.
Our 13 yo is definitely ready to work with the dogs. She fits Ed Frawley's description of a leader (probably more than I do), has some experience with training horses, and is very interested in learning the Ellis method.
