My girl has some tartar on her teeth, seems like alot to me not that I really know but I'm wondering why she has so much and my boys have none at all, not that I can notice, they all eat the same diet and there's nothing different in any of the things they do? Any ideas?? Is teeth brushing a good idea, not looking forward to trying that with her
Brushing is good and not hard to do since the dog tooth paste is apparently very tasty. You just have to go slow and keep it all positive when you start out. Plan on brushing one tooth very lightly your first time, like three seconds of brushing. Finish with a nice treat. Go slow.
Depending on how bad her teeth are she might need a pro cleaning. Be sure to ask the vet next time you go.

Just thought you'd like a little smile to start your weekend - one of my last dogs, my springer, Joshie, would actually allow me to use a sonic toothbrush on him!

He was a great guy
You know Dana, I was wondering about the sonic tooth brush? It sounds like a great idea.
I think when it is time to get a new sonic unit, I will save this one I have and use it for the dogs! Great idea!

If you can get them used to the vibration then it should be a cinch!
I figure if I can get them used to me dremeling their nails, I can get them to let me use the sonic toothbrush, right?
I hope so, it sounds like a plan... I can't wait to give it a try.
I may have to go out and get some new brush heads just to give it a try!
Hmm...hadn't thought about that. Maybe JD will let me clean his teeth with my sonic toothbrush! I use a dremel on his nails. I just hope his teeth aren't as ticklish as his feet!!!
Thanks I'll give it a go never thought of using that! As far as age goes she's only just gone 13 months and her brother hasn't shown anything on his teeth (yes I made the mistake of a brother/sister combo, big mistake) nor my eldest at 17 months. Curious as to why it's only on her, is it a sex thing??
