I think Amber has a cold or something, she has a runny nose with clear discharge that she is "blowing" all over everything. She's eating relatively normal, drinking, and poop looks good although she is sleeping a little deeper than normal. Question I have is should I continue doing our normal long walk??? Or give her a little break, she definitely is very playful and eager to get out. I just can't decided if this is an actual illness or something else...

I think I might take it easy with her and if she isn't getting better in a few days I would consider a vet check, especially if the discharge turns green or cloudy.
How much discharge does she have coming out of her nose?

Jethro came down with a cold a couple of weeks ago. I highly recommend getting a digital thermometer so you can take Amber's temperature. Knowing his temp was in the normal range helped weather the days of coughing and hacking. I finally did take him to the vet as his symptoms were winding down, just to make sure everything was okay. The vet did a quick external exam on his throat and deduced that Jethro did not have kennel cough and predicted he was soon going to be symptom free. Sure enough, within two days all the hacking and horking was gone. The vet thought it was his tonsils, because Skipper didn't get anything.
While he was under the weather, Jethro pretty much let me know how much energy he had (still needed his walkies and play time, just a little less). Watch out for the sympathy card, "Oh, poor doggy you must be feeling soooo bad, I'll let you up on the couch this once." Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
she has a fair amount of clear discharge, she's always had a reatively dry nose since I've had her.
After a short but furious battle I was able to take her temp, it was normal 101.3
She is not coughing thank god, is kind of "blowing" her nose to clear it, has an occasional upper respiratory sound, but lungs are clear, and she is sneezing.
she is vacc. for Kennel cough,
Does have a small amount of dry crust at each eye.
aww, Jenny, I've got to play the poor baby card with her.
