I just started using the bark collar and it works well. My question is, it needs to be very tight for it to stay in the correct spot on my dogs neck. I feel it is almost to the point of hurting him. He is a long haired shepherd and has tons of hair around his neck. Any ideas or suggestions. ?
Thanks Geri

Usually with bark collars they include two longer contacts for fluffy dogs, however be very aware of how long your dog has that collar on if you go with that option because the risk of embedding the contacts increases. Another option is to shave a spot on the neck to shorten up the hair.
The collar needs to be snug but really shouldn't be to the point of discomfort.
