Pisa is starting to teeth, one little both top and bottom are gone, and some of the back ones are starting to break through the gums.
I have read lots of the past posts on this, but have a specific ponderance..
How do I redirect without tug, our outs are 80%, the other time she won't let go without a bit of a fight.
her ob is quickly improving daily and I am getting alot better with engaging her
can I give her a bite rag to carry, I have always made sure those were mine
the way she goes at me when I wont play she will for sure rip out a tooth, so I can at least keep the play somewhat controled, she loves to play(bite), from elbows down and thighs down I look like I have some weird kind of scabies with all the scabs, skin tares, and bruses
Some dogs go off the bite during teething. Some don't.
I agree that if a dog seems to dislike biting, or if their interest in biting decreases, that you should leave bitework alone with those puppies.
If a dog is still determined to destroy everything in its path, teething or not, then you continue to redirect to protect your skin, and praise the high heavens that you've got yourself a nice, hard dog.
Tug just enough to keep the puppy engaged, but you can take a down a notch to accommodate the teething.
Some dogs really like biting on the leather rag while they're teething- it feels good on the gums, and can help loosen up those teeth enough to come up, which for many dogs, is a relief.
You can watch all the DVDs and read all the books in the world, but they're no substitute for knowing the dog in front of you, and working at the appropriate level for that dog.
She's telling you she still wants to tug. Maybe a little gentler, but she still wants it.

I agree, I watched the dvd's before I got her, but they make it look so easy, and I am learning to read her better each day,
I was a bit worried after reading how some puppys actully cry while eating and go off their food, she is showing a bit more of the back ones, and has not slowed on eating at all, if I wasn't always looking, I wouldnt even have known
