Anyone else do this? This is NOT that blood type b/s.
I started questioning my 1st dog's diet and it led to learning about feeding a species appropriate raw diet. But it also led to discovering how to eat a species appropriate diet for myself. Then I learned about the spectrum of metabolisms in the human species. We are omnivores but some are more on the herbivore side and others like me are on the carnivore side. This is why low fat and high-carb works great for one person and horrible for another. Its really interesting.
The book is The Metabolic Typing Diet by William Wolcot and Trish Fayey.
Much like the dogs I switched to raw, my body composition has changed, my hair looks healthier too! I don't get sick anymore so far, and it eliminated certain digestive problems, my nails are stronger...etc.
Just curious since there are a lot of raw feeders that maybe some of you are into this.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
Very funny exchange, you two! Ahem -- I have never heard of the diet mentioned, but I think I'm going to look into it. I would like to be a vegetarian, for several reasons, but my attempts have not been successful. Seems like after just a few days, I'm like Jimmy Buffett, looking for that cheeseburger in paradise! Maybe my metabolism just leans more toward carnivore than vegetarian??? Interesting.
I'll bet it does lean that way...seriously check it out, its explains elaborately why and how certains diet work for some and not for others. It makes perfect sense. When I have some money I am going to donate a book to the library, I just think its right on!
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
