I still want to know how my Coulter can turn 1 gallon of water into 5 gallons of urine.
I have a neat trick I've taught my boy, I call it 'Point and Pee.' We have a huge stray dog issue where I live, I got so sick and tired of the neighbors' dogs marking my front yard and one even threatening me when I was gardening that I now take Coult out there (on leash) and point to various spots in the yard and he marks them. That has considerably cut down on dogs running loose in my yard. I may not have taught him much, but I am strangly proud of that little trick.
I let Turbo. One of the simple joys in a dog's life. Peein' on stuff.
Like everyone else, though, it is only when I give the "free" command. And "free" is only given when you've been good on leash, which is of course all the time, right?
Like Connie, I like to give Turbo his "free" when we are around places where other dog's have marked. Actually, I found letting him pee on stuff to be a great motivator in learning loose leash walking.

Not to mention sterile.
And I just can't start worrying about the PG&E guys climbing the marked poles .....

Oh, Michael .... you told my big training secret! Marching right along with no pulling, "in the zone," means the next "pee on stuff" place is reached more quickly and efficiently.
