We just LOTS of 'your dog is TOO skinny' comments. Nearly 1 a day, it seems. You learn to ignore it. I know my dog is healthy, eats the best kibble available, and is saving his hips/back/elbows from serious pain later by staying on the skinny side now with how active he is.
Jessica- you're so right. My Dad always complains about Koenig being to skinny. He's perfect. lol. (And thats coming from a guy who used to run fox hounds- now THOSE dogs are kept THIN!)
Jenny,if he is wet he has a very distinct waist from the top and you can see the tuck of his stomach a little easier, but still no backbone showing. His feet and head make him look like a drowned rat though!
Thanks for the reassurance Mara! It helps to hear of similar dogs that are around the same ht/wt. Haz is also pretty fine boned and not as "fluffy" as some of his littermates around the area. But his head isn't as big and he's not as tall either, so he may have just gotten the different genetic makeup.
