When I did Thunder's he was absolutely perfect.
Just watched closely as the drunken stranger walked across the area. As soon as the stranger turned in our direction Thunder stepped out in front of me, with tail up and a very forward attitude.
The second the threat was made he went ballistic. Raise a stick to a Schutzhund dog? DUH! That was a no brainer.
When the guy backed off Thunder calmed down but he never took his eyes off the guy.
25 or so Years ago one of my daughters did the TT with a Norwich terrier we had. I was proud of the little guy. Grizzly didn't bark or lunge but just stepped out in front of my daughter and started scrapping the ground with all four feet while he stared at the "stranger".
That is really cool! I checked out their website, as this is the first I had heard about it and found that GSD;s, Rotties, Mixed Breeds, Dobes and APB's are the top 5 most tested and all of these "potentially aggressive" breeds rank right in the average pass rate. As always, it's nice to see people out putting a good image for the "scarey" breeds

Thanks Will!
Actually the knowledge of the tester is important -why I made an effort to get to Carl before he retired. The really good ones take into account not just background and training of the individual dog, but the DNA. Historically, the Staffordshire terriers or well bred bully types are actually far too people oriented to be protection dogs -appearances are deceiving.
My girl was much more concerned with my husband being away from us on the sidelines than the silly guy in the costume -if he had dropped the demeanor and approached she would have wagged!
