okay so second question, what would be the best way to work on the dog aggression? just a recommended link will suffice
my dog is okay with dogs he knows, ie my neighbour has two dogs a boxer and a little papillon and we go to the cottage together all the time with no problems what so ever
i dont like letting my dog interact with other dogs while on leash and that way he learns this behaviour while on walks but allowing him the chance to sniff or become familiar with another dog without a potential problem becomes an issue?
Here is my concern, Mark. If you are tuckering your dog out in a manner only a dog park can provide, then he is not within a seconds reach from you. You will not effectively reach him before he could be seriously injured. Also, imagine being thrown into a cage fight with handcuffs on- I think that's how a dog with a muzzle on would feel in a dog park- esp. if he has already showed you he is uncomfortable with other dogs. Being attacked may mean he will never learn to walk calmly past another dog. It affects them for life sometimes. Go biking, long line runs in an open park, do obedience OUTSIDE the dog park to desensitize him, but PLEASE don't subject him to that sort of stress.
