All this makes me want to put Conan on sheep again.
It really sucks when that money thing gets in the way, doesn't it?
I finally found a place only an hour away from me where I can take Kipp and Kenzi. But I can only afford to go once a month. Sigh.
Thats my issue with taking Koenig out more then every so often. It adds up. Especially because they charge 'per run' with the stock, and Koenig has the mental/physical capabilities to go in 3 times every evening. It adds up, really fast.

I found a place close by but I've heard mixed reviews about the trainer. It's after Schutzhund on Wednesdays. I think I'll take Conan out next week. $30 a day.
I think a few days in a row with 2-3 sessions a day would be great for Kipp right now. He could more than handle it. Kenzi would do fine with it, too.
And I've got an offer to go to a farm and stay/work for a long weekend which would mean lots of good repetition and practice time for me and the dogs. But I'm busy with school during the week and work on the weekends. Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to go over there in November.

That would be a blast!! You've got nice dogs. They probably just fine once a month. I'm eager to see how Conan does. It's been a year and a half since we last worked.
I'm excited about the opportunity - that place is 5 hours away though so it would be like every 3-4 months.
The place that is close is one lesson for both dogs for $40.
When I get Kipp cooled down to the point where he can work at home with my sheep, we should be able to make more progress. It really sucks not having a chore dog right now The first time I went to worm the sheep after I lost Missy I was in tears by the end because it's so frustrating trying to do it by myself (and I was missing my partner)
