Rescues have these blanket policies that really aren't fair in order to weed through the careless and clueless applicants. I see it from both sides. I was denied at first as a foster for many reasons, too many kids, no fence on my property, and then also because I have an underground fence which was viewed as inhumane. (Ollie is part Beagle...it's just an added precaution that I don't even need anymore!) I volunteered for a long time as an event worker before they let me foster. Even then, I was interviewed and had to have a home visit. I still don't meet the criteria, but they've made the exception. It was quite rediculous on one hand, but they try to do the best they can for the animals. I continue to debate with the director on many issues. But, now they refer to my house as "doggie heaven". Go figure. Now I'm always the one who gets dogs that no one wants to foster. (Like Dudley the fear biter.)
Looking at your posts and videos, I'm not half the dog owner that you are. If you were to apply with my rescue, I'd back you 100%. All anyone would have to do is watch some video with you and Ryuk.
Any dog would be lucky to end up with you. Good luck!
