My 5+ year old GSD obviously has tummy trouble although we have not been able to identify a possible cause. We have noticed that her front paws are rather cold and we are concerned as we currently have moderate weather (above 40 degrees F). Her nose is normal, her gums and eyes are normal. She ate her usual breakfast this morning although not as enthusiastically as usual. But the food did stay down. She has not yet eliminated today; her prior stools have been normal. Any ideas on what might be bothering her?

Thank you for your reply. She has only been droopy since this morning. Couldn't have gotten into anything as she has only been on our property and always within our sight. There is no rock salt around and no garbage left accessible. We have not tried to take her temperature. However, she did eliminate about 30 minutes ago and it was perfectly normal. Afterward, she accepted a small bit of liverwurst (which she loves) from my husband. Of course, this isn't the first time she's had a tummy ache. Hopefully, it will pass by tomorrow, as it has in the past. We will continue to watch her carefully.
Thanks again for your comments. If she is hungry,I'll feed her sparingly with foods that are more easily digestible. And we will hope that she feels better in the morning. There are pics of her in the photo contest. Her name is Ilsa; I believe the pic number was 506.

How's the dog today?
BTW, has this dog ever had pancreatitis? Some of the things you mentioned woke me up this morning, early .... I guess they coalesced in my sleep: "not the first time," lethargy and inappetence, vomiting, and then liverwurst ....
Thank you for asking. She is not yet 100% but a bit better. Got her to eat a little this morning and she's drinking plenty of water. We went for our usual morning walk. Her eyes, ears, gums, and nose are all normal. Her paws are no longer cold. I picked up some plain yogurt. Maybe that will also help.
She has been tested twice (once, recently) for pancreatitis. She also had a recent fecal smear. Everything was normal. She just has a very sensitive digestive track. The only thing puzzling was the cold paws (only the front paws). She has not vomited or had diarrhea at all. I think she just needs more time to get past the upset stomach.
