I love the vibration, with the mastiffs our old collars beeped, so when they were close together they both responded, the vibration is exactly what I wanted.
I was "zapping" myself through the different levels to compare to the old collars(sport dog 1 through 8 for stim)
Pisa we work without distraction at 2(nick)
at 50 I stopped, its way higher than I ever used, I couldn't bring myself to press the button (nick) at 127 so my wife did.
WOW....... when the heck would that be needed?
It was like kneeling on wet ground and grabbing a electric fence with a wet hand (I've done that too)
You are brave! (I think your wife just wanted to punish you that's why she was "willing" to push it at 127 ;-)
I can't get myself to even give it a try at 2! Although all the trainers said I should as it isn't fair to zap my dog without knowing what it's like. HA - I say, he needs to listen to me!
Thanks for the review - now I know for certain I will not try it on myself!
I've use 127 to stop my dog's from chasing deer, it only took two times and there is no problem now. why 127, because of the roads and some 20-50 foot drops offs into a river. it worked quick and now we can enjoy our walks and be safe.
When I got my first ecollar my then 18 yr old bigmouth nephew called me a ***** for trying it on 1 then 2 etc, he grabbed it and put it on his neck, cinched nice and tight too, with all his buddies egging him on so I calmly asked him "how high?" he said "all the way *****" so I listened to him because he knows everything about everything.
It was unbelievable, I never laughed so hard in years, he was speaking in tongue and trying to rip it off, sounded like gack gack gack. My father came running out of his office because he thought someone was dying or something. it seems being older and everything I accidentally used the continuous button instead of nick. That was probably 8 yrs ago or so and when we all talk about and laugh at him he still puts his hand on his neck, lol. He's still a bigmouth though Wish I had video then.
