Well seems someone is at it again in Toronto.
I don't get it. But I really think owners should be more diligent about watching what their dogs are doing while on a walk.
“As far as the exact details of the attack, in deference to the family we’re not giving a lot of information on exactly what occurred,” said RCMP Sgt. Patricia Neely.
The family is not withholding info; the police are protecting the family from uninformed speculation while they grieve. They are trying to control the collateral damage caused by media spin.

Yes..as far as the poisonings i agree, people aren't paying attention to their animals. But i can't tell you how many times i see people letting their dogs eat whatever they find on the ground.
I walk a trail everyday...and people put out cereal to feed the squirrels (don't get me started on that!) and i always see people standing there letting their dog snack on it!! You don't know who put that on the ground. You don't know if they are trying to poison the squirrels, thus poisoning any other mammal that eats it.
They are oblivious.
As for the Mauling....the article doesn't say exactly what happened....wether the dog actually got ahold of the baby or possibly suffocated the baby. Either way, a very sad situation.
