Lots of funny stories...but recently Zahsa has started to let me know when it should be dinner time or so she thinks it should be...she will go over & open Bodie's crate door(he eats in his crate in the kitchen) then she will nudge him into the crate & close the door & then go & paw at the back door & sit there & yip at me. (she usually eats on the deck, weather permitting). Silly dog.

My youngest male (gibbs) was being very quiet, my wife or I had set a loaf of italian bread on the kitchen counter, my wife was in bed and I was in the computer room, I call Gibbs to see why he was so quiet because he'll stare at food forever, and he walks in and gently lays the loaf of bread in my lap. It never dawned on him to eat it without permission but he let me know he'd sure like a piece, very cool. That's character right there.

If only she could get that fridge open ...... you could lie on the couch with bonbons and a novel while she prepared and distributed the supper bowls.

One night or early morning, about 2am my husband woke me up. He was standing at the bed really sheepish looking.
"Get up, I lost Kingster."
I'm kind of shaking my head, sure I misunderstood, because it is pretty hard to lose a dog with our fencing.
I got up, and we are both searching the couple acres around the house that is fenced.
No Kingster.
We have flashlights, we have the lawn mower on with it lights. We are calling.
No Kingster
We search the house, 3 times over.
Still no Kingster.
I'm in a panic now and start searching outside the main fencing.
No Kingster
Really panicked because I know my husband had to search for a while before he woke me and I'm making a mental list of who I can call at 3 am to help us look. Lots of farm land around me. Lots and lots of land.
King is big and as white as can be. He's hard to hide at night. He never, never, does not come when called.
I'm convinced that he is not in my yard and I turn around to go back to the house to start finding out who my real friends are and he's right behind me.
