That's funny, Tanya, I'm having the opposite reaction. These recent threads have me thinking how crazy I would be to ever get another puppy. I think I just may be sticking to adopting older dogs from now on! Of course, you're probably a lot younger than me.

I hear ya Tanya! I keep telling myself a couple more years to let my current high energy boy mellow out, improve my training skills and THEN I will get a puppy.

I think Tasmanian Devils are just DS puppies waiting for the stork to deliver them.

NOTHING like a new pup! I've said it a dozen times but I'd rather see the light bulb come on with a pup then compete with a finished dog.
Since I've "discovered" marker training, that has risen ten fold...at least!

Funny..cuz my motto used to be older dogs, but now that I've had my crazy dog as a pup I want another one! Seems like the older I get (44 now) I want young and when I was young I wanted old

I'm a decade or so older than you, so I guess that makes me old but not ancient, like Bob, who Connie informs us in another thread was around when dogs were invented.
And I say no more puppies now, but......you just never know! It would be tempting, and I might, I just might......

MOI? OLD?......but I refuse to grow up!!!
At 66 I still think about another puppy...but the wife has gotten better at keeping me in check.
I haven't had just one dog most of my life. Down to two...but a sweet, crazy little Border Terrier (had two) for the house is always on the back of my mind.
