The only collars that my dogs have on all the time is their fur saver ones....that have all their 'tags' on them,
I NEVER leave training collars on my dogs for extended periods of time. It's just NOT needed.
Since my dogs are not out in the yard unless I am home...they don't need to wear bark collars. I am there to stop unwanted barking.
I have had e-collars leave marks when they would be left on my dogs when we are at training all day long. Even when tightened properly. Maybe it's just my dogs' sensitive skin, especially my female. :-) But I stopped doing that.

I never leave any training collar on for extended periods either.
I'm totally willing to believe Ed and the people who have posted about bad inflammation and infection and holes in the dog's neck.
