I use it on my GSD along with K9 Advantix 2. So far it's working great. No ticks. I live in a part of NY that has a major problem with deer ticks. So far, it hasn't been a problem for me.
Well who woulda thought, I looked in the LB Q & A for the product and found this:
"...The same goes for the no bark collars. They communicate with a voice frequency that does not communicate with the Shoo-Tag. In both these cases the only draw back is when the dog or animal is shocked. This greatly breaks down the bio-energy of the animal and they are not, at that time producing a field. Once the dog is trained to respond properly and not being shocked the field they will produce will be normal."
I wonder how long the shock effects it.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
Hmmm..that's a good question. I use an e collar on my dog but I don't think it's had any negative impact on the shoo tag. I have another dog. A small Maltese/poodle mix who does not wear a shoo tag (don't ask me why) and I did pull one tick off of her.
I think I am going to try it...I already pulled an engorged tick off his neck. It freaked me out because he was lame suddenly...turns out he probably just hurt himself spinning or launching off the back porch. I took his temp and it was normal and now the lameness is gone. Whew.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
