Good! It was obvious from other posts that you have done good solid work with this dog.
This is what I think we were all trying to suggest. So this is great! Working outside his trigger zone, gradually decreasing that zone's size, is what we all (or me, anyway) meant by "desensitizing" and "foundation work."
There are a lot of desensitizing threads here, step by step, filled with pointers, if you're interested.
