Finger are pointing at the reason for the species jump being vaccines cultured with pig parts....right now they aren't sure the actual origin of the outbreak.
Current advisory is for dog parks, and is advising people to practice general kennel rules (use a different pair of shoes, disinfect, etc) apparently it can hang out in feces of the infected dog.
