Boston flat out out played us for the most part and there were a couple of really weird endings. One whent the Cards way and the other went Boston's way. Both teams showed class in there were no super stars hogging the limelight. BOTH played as teams. Not so common in today's megabuck athletes. St. Louis had always had the reputation of having some of Baseball's most knowledgeable fans but I have to put Boston right up there. They gave my opinions of the East coast a big lift. There were a number of news paper/TV articles about how Boston fans were so surprised at how welcoming we were here when they came to St. Louis. It's about the game, not the insults we can toss back and forth. Kinda like being on a web site huh! old dogs LOVE to learn new tricks
