Just wanted to add about oral pain ... when my elderly flat-face guy had a dental (under general anesthesia) in 2009, he came back a new dog.
I felt horrible that I had not realized what was going on out of sight in the back of his mouth. Your girl is fortunate that you're alert.
Anyway, it was then that I found out about the MUCH better G/A there is now .... I remembered a lot of dogs not waking up from G/A. It is so different now. (Details in link above.)

Kasey smashed his mouth into a cement porch last year while running after a ball. He broke 2 top front teeth off half way up. The dental vet did pulpectomies to those teeth right after it happened and just gave him a sedative to make him really groggy instead of a general. It was great and a lot cheaper.
I just wish I had taken care of it back when she first broke it. I've been watching her pretty closely trying to figure it out, then putting together little pieces of the "weirdness" Hopefully this will get taken care of and fix it. Yeah, I wonder about g/a.
It would be nice if they could just sedate her but we'll see. I'm going to try to get an appt today.
My animals are not "like" family, they ARE family.
