This is Jade on our 3rd walk...she's doberman mix, 8 months old. Her owners said she would pull on the leash and try and attack everybody, lunging growling and barking. They were right, but all she needed was some discipline. She is very willing to please, she was very responsive to just praise. Very smart dog too...loved working with her!
She's a lovely looking girl, what is the other part of the mix? looks a little bit like border collie, but then I am pretty useless at guessing a mix breed
Beautiful pup. Just from the very short clip and considering the angle of the shot, she looks pure Doberman to me, albeit with natural ears and tail. Are those a few white toes I see?
She seems to be doing very well walking with you. I hope the owners will listen to your guidance in learning the proper ways to deal with what sounds like very typical behavior in an untrained and probably under-socialized youngster. If they do, they will end up with a very nice dog!
Cherri, she has shorter legs and a stockier build, doesn't show so well in the pix. Was thinking maybe some pit mixed in there. Could even be hound...who knows. Her temperament tho is very dobe.
I'd like to work with her some more, I am thinking about asking her owners (who'd more than likely be glad to let me) if I could train her for a while and make some demo videos.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
Oh, yes, I see what you mean, now! She does look different than in the top-down video view. And with all those white markings, too, definitely a mix. No matter what her bloodlines are, she does seem like a very nice pup, though. I'm glad you're getting a chance to work with her. I hope her owners will let you continue.
Cheri, I'm hoping too and going to write out kind of a training plan first. I also have to consider I might be working with a weimaraner soon as well. I haven't met him yet but he's a lot of dog after talking to the owner...looking forward to that!
Mara, and the things is...the "bad" dog they have is nothing compared to what some of us on LB have hat we call "good"
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
