I had my dog spayed in early spring, before her spring cycle. She was blowing her coat, which she always did twice a year before her estrus, and it regressed as normal. However, after a few months, she is now shedding constantly. I thought that maybe a hormone imbalance was causing her to blow her coat early, but it has been going on for a couple of months.
Has anyone else had coat issues after spaying? Dr. Betty?

You know I'm no expert, Duane, but my last 3 spayed bitches (going back well over 20 years now) shed as follows:
Irish Wolfhound = super minimal (typical for breed)...
AKITA = Blew whole coat semi-annually with Virtually NO Shedding at ALL in between (breed typical)...
Doberman = very minimal (but her neutered Dobie "brother" sheds-like-a-shepherd 24/7, go figure)...
