I have heard that, because dogs don't have sweat glands, the stim feels different to them than to us because there is nothing to conduct the electricity. I just want to hear someone experienced confirm or deny this for me before I start training with my ecollar. I put it on the meaty part of my hand and it just felt like a little tingling sensation, but on my neck it was legitimate pain. This is my first ever ecollar, and obviously I don't want to hurt my dog with it. Am I right in assuming that she will only be feeling the tingling like it was on my hand because of the lack of moisture on her neck? And if I use the collar after she has been swimming, will it hurt then because she is wet?
Thanks.
