My sons are coming home to Minnesota from Colorado and California, my 2 sisters are coming, hubby is here.
The house is fuller than it has been in 20 yrs.
The Pinker has a fairly we'll trained French bulldog ( my sons dog) to take a walk with and boss.
The weather is not full on Siberia.
The basement is not full of water!
No one is (knock on wood) sick, and there is no drama (yet).
The hired man hasn't quit.
My favorite holiday....no presents, just food and football.
I'm feeling super lucky, I give thanks to God.
I wish you all the very best Thanksgiving.

What a great message! I especially love "not full-on Siberia" weather!
I wish you and yours all the best, Betty, with a special shout-out to the Pinker.
The beginning of my 3 day holiday get togethers. Thanksgiving day will be with the wife's brothers and family at one of the three brother's houses. Friday will be with our kids and grand kids here at our house. Saturday it will be with my sibs and their kids, again here at our house cause it's my turn. In spite of how hectic it can get it reminds me of how thankful the wife and I are to have both sides of the family so close to us both geography wise and in our hearts. Christmas will be yet another hectic but great 3 day holiday weekend with a couple of house changes.
It's great to hear all the wonderful plans! I miss the days when we used to have big family get-togethers. We will just have a quiet day here. We always have a standing invitation to join family up north, but I can't leave the dogs home alone that long, and it would be a major inconvenience to try to take them with us.
Bob, your "hectic but great 3 day holiday weekend with a couple of house changes" sounds fun and terrific.
Mine will be more like Cheri's ... and more in keeping with my stamina level these days.
Happy holiday, everyone!
We started off the early day with two of my grandkids running the annual Turkey Trot 5k race. 5 thousand runners. Maybe 100-150 being serious runners. Grandaughter (high school senior) came in 3rd in the women's division with a 17 mins and 28 seconds time. She also signed her College papers this week. Between her running in Cross Country -State level, indoor track- State level, out door track, State level and a 4.2 GPA means the only expense she'll have in college will be partial room and board. One of many things we are thankful here. Granpa's get to brag with no embarassment or guilt!
