That's the kind of bowl I carry. I like how packable it is, but you do have to fuss with it a little to get it out, unfold it, put the water in, empty it out, fold it back up, stick it back in the pack. I want to try the canteen cup, as I think it would be a lot easier to unhook it from my pack, fill it, empty it, and hook it back on the pack. Less steps involved, wouldn't have to remove my pack to reach it, quicker pit stops.
I checked with some people I know and the local PD does have an automatic start for their cars if the internal temp gets too high. If any one is interested I can check and see how they did it.

I'm interested. I'd also be interested in knowing if anyone has any cooling system set up in their car? Window screens so the windows can be down, solar fans for circulation, battery powered misters or cooling mats, etc. What seems to work, and what's not worth the time spent setting it up?
