I am starting a new thread because evidently some people seem to think I am nieve enough to think that the dog even after obedience training would be fully trustworthy. If you go back and look at past posts on this you'll find that I said that I knew that I could never fully trust the dog again. I know that this problem is very serious and therefore I am seeking help every way I know how. I also understand that putting the dog down may be an option but once again I'll say that that will be my last option after exhausting all others. In the meantime until I can find the appropriate help for this dog, she is and has been kept away from strange children. I am not ready to give up on this dog yet.
because the dog is only ten pounds you want to give it a chance. I understand that, and the fact that you love this dog and it was mistreated by children. Please don't think that because this is a small dog that it can't gravely hurt someone. I watched a TV show the other night, a young boy about three or four was left alone in the back yard with the beloved family pet, a boston terrier, about 15 pounds. The dog tore the bottom half of the boys face off. No skin or muscle left, only bones. He almost died, he will never look normal again. Please don't think that because this is a little dog that it can't kill a child. Pdon't think that your children are safe either. This dog has proven that it will bite. Enough said.
