Everything went very well. I actually ended up have it done by a doctor with the ARFDS (Australin Royal Flying Doctors' Service). I bumped into someone I knew who worked for them, the subject came up in conversation and he introduced me.
The guy used a lazer, clamp and templates. It didn't cost me a thing - must be my charming ersonality........MOT!!!
Anyway, my dog is currently sleeping it off and I'd like some opinions one what I should and shouldn't be doing in the next few weeks until she's better. I already have a good idea of what to expect, but I'm sure there are still many things some of you can warn me about.
First off I am against ear cropping on APBT's. Now your gonna have to keep his ears real clean or you will be left with ear infections. Ok i'm done venting... You might have to get one of those cone things so he won't scratch at his ears, in fact I would put one on him even if he didnt so they wont get banged up. Also I would try and grate him as much as posible for a week. How do the ears look? You might need to rig something up and tape them. How old is the pup anyway? Ear croping is an art and there aren't many vets that do good jobs at taping. poor taping can ruin the job they did.
For aftercare, spend two weeks beefing up your fencing. Now the dog looks even more like a pit and is even more likely to get stolen/shot/beaten because of it. Just my opinion, of course .

We don't have a "brags" forum, or a "this is my life and dog forum", here on this web board for a reason.
So, in short, keep posts to productive training and dog related topics. No personal updates or brags about your dogs. Do that in PMs to people that care.
