I just want to know if someone can help me in directing me somewhere where I can get info on breeding. I want to know about hybrid vigor,linebreeding, inbreeding and picking the right breeding partner. I am a beginner and I am learning slowly but I need some info that I can understand. If anyone knows of a good computer program or book or website that might be able to teach me the basics and fundamentals of dog breeding for working dogs than I would really appreciate it. I know someone on this board can help me.
Three books I think any breeder should have in his library: Practical Genetics for Dog Breeders by Malcom Willis; Genetics and the Social Behavior of the Dog by Scott and Fuller; and if you can find it, Working Dogs by Humphrey. These will take you a long way.
