I notice the sire is not titled. He is going on 5. Is this correct or just not on the database? Has he been bred before? What about the dam, I see she is titled, but has she had litters before? (she is a younger female so I am betting not) What were they like? etc.
More importantly what are you looking at the dog for? To work? SAR? Etc. With that info someone should be able to help you more.
i believe that the sire is schhIII ipoIII kkl1 FHI SG rated LGA and WUSV participant in germany, i think that the mahner berg dogs on the pedigree database have not been registered, on the breeders website, all of the dogs in the sire and dams pedigree are titled and most are schhIII or IPOIII
by the way mink is at stud in germany i cant remember the site i saw him at but they were listing him as one of their top stud dogs, they had him titled the same except for the LGA and WSUV parts. is it possible that nobody has registered his title on pedigreedatabase? i dont know, it just looks like a pretty good line to me, but i am new so that is why i am here!!! thanks
It is quite possible that it just wasnt updated in the database. It is user updated, so sometimes it is not correct. I have seen dogs listed as SchH3 that were not as well.
At any rate, is this litter close to you? I would go see the litter and talk to the breeder about what type of temperament testing they do. You should be able to get a club dog out of that breeding as long as the breeder is able to test and place puppies appropriately.
so what if the stud is titled or isn't titled what matter is what he produces,my new pup sire isn't titled and he has produce service dogs all over the country!!! ask sue coppola about her new service dog tonka. titles doesn't mean a thing!!!!
thanks for the input ill let you know which puppy i pick out and how he is doing after i get him...this board is a great source of information, by the way
does anyone have experience with a 5-4 on fero, i know people always say dont line breed on fero bc of nerves but i think that this might just be a popularity thing, he would come down through bernt/bastin/untitled female
and through othello v karthago/qukelly v haus antverpa who was then bred to qinto v haus nuyens(an orry son)
i just wanted to say thank you for providing a board in which i could easily access and learn new information about dogs in general, GSD's and the sport of schutzhund specifically.
i decided on the bastin grandson i was looking at, the puppy has a czech grandmother and the sires lineage is belgain, again thank you so much.
