i am relatively new to the german shepherd dog's unique bloodline world. I understand that there are many different working bloodlines such as: CZECH, DDR,and WEST GERMAN( are there any more?) What are the PROS and CONS to each type and primarily what they are used for and generally where each type goes to ( police?, family?, personal protection?)
There isn't a good answer to that question. There is a large enough difference between dogs within those groups that making a generalization isn't helpful.
What you should do is figure out what your needs and wants are for a dog and then look for those specific traits in potential adult dogs, or in parents and close relatives of pups.
Or you could get an all around dog, that can accomplish any task. Oh, I'm sorry your inquiring about the GSD though. LMAO!! HEY ROBERT, I'M JUST THROWING AROUND LIGHT HUMOR, I SAW A CHANCE AND I TOOK IT. I HEAR YOU CAN BE QUITE THE JUDGE JUDY <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Ben,
VanCamp beat me to the punch there - your questions are so broad that it'd take pages to answer them.
But........we have discussed those very question in detail over and over again on this forum in the past. Might I suggest just using the "Search" option?
