"Training that befits a fighter" would differ how, from the approach I might otherwise take should I be training a GSD?
Internet "assisted", an incredible way to access great and helpful information, its only problem is you run into just as many "kooks" as you do on the street. ; )
the presa canario was created by the spanish, not sure when, maybe not long after the concur the canary islands. The breed was created for dog figting, which was quite popular then. The breeders have crossed english mastiff for size, with the canary dog which is I take it the pray drive comes from. the canary dog was native to the islands and known to be highly intelegent.
I have also heard that Canary islands were named after the dog, not the other way arownd, Canary dog means dog of prey on spanish ..or something like that
I have never seen one in flesh but seen some Neapolitans and cane corso in my local dog park(I never take my dogs there)
The pressa canario breed became less popular after banning dog fighting in the '60
