I have a 10 month old bitch who just began her cycle aproxx 9 days ago. The first day she began bleeding I noticed her limping a bit on one of her hinf legs. I thought it was from from playing at first. Over the past few days I have noticed more limping and favoring of her hind legs. The limping has becom more noticable as the with the progression of her cycle. We will be heading to our vet tomorrow to have her checked. I was wondering if this normal and may it have anything to do with her cycle? I couldn't tell if anything was wormg because she was not reluctant or hesitant to leap into the suv or onto the couch or bed? Can anyone help me out here?
You know, it could be because of her cycle. A female's body changes when they go into season. They get ready to have pups and their hips loosen up. I keep the excersise to a minimum when my bitch is in heat. You should also not get x-rays on dogs right before and after their heat cycle. You can get bad results. Hope this helps.
