Originally posted by Mike Sanchez: Brawnson is geneticlly a very tough dog himself, from what I've seen. He pretty much represents the real deal, what everyone strives for. And from the offspring that I've seen, they are generally strong nerved, even tempered, with super high drive. That's my first post Mike; what part of that don't you agree with? Am I still missing something? What do I need to say to satisfy you?
Well now that these European Dog breeders have asked about Brawnson's pedigree and see the dog that he is, what is thier consensis on the pedigree and have high caliber bitches been sent here from them?
We often do not give ourselves enough credit. Just because someone is a German, a belgian or a European does not qualify that person as an expert one anything. PLEASE !!!!!! Explain what they have bred?

To go along with this, anyone care to guess where Brawnson was "imported" from? His breeder from Canada. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I've also heard many times (from many sources) that we've got better dogs here, but the better training is in Europe.
First, Frans and Jack aren't breeders; they're trainers. What qualifications do they have for rendering an opinion? You mean other than being in the sport since they were 15, competing at the world championship level and winning the Deutche Meisterschaeft, doing helper work on thousands and thousands of dogs including world champions, being in the company of trainers who are a "who's who" of schutzhund, living in the part of the world where schutzhund is a way of life. Here in America, we see prominent names on a pedigree and if we're LUCKY, we can name a pitiful handful of descendents that we have actually seen, sometimes we've never seen any of the progeny in real life. Name the same dog over there and they have personally seen and trained with dozens of progeny and know first hand, not from the rumor mill, who's producing what. And being on the helper side of the sleeve gives you a certain insights that others don't have. The depth of knowledge in many Europeans, for whom the sport and the GSD are a passion, comes not from "having an accent". It comes from living in such tight quarters with so much depth of talent and knowledge available to you. If you took all the dogs, trainers, and clubs of Germany and Belgium and you put them in the US, they would fit easily into Alabama and Georgia, I believe. Do you not think that if all those terrific dogs and trainers were so close together that I wouldn't be light years ahead in my knowledge of EVERYTHING related to the sport, to include bloodlines and genetics??
I know Frans, and can tell you that he is a good person for one. Frans can read a dog better then most,(and not just talk, but can train) and has bred a few good dogs that are in service work now if I am not mistaken;is he a breeder, I would not say that, but he is not ignorant to the world of breeding. I would buy dogs from him again sight unseen, as his judgement and knowledge are second to none. I have connected him and two friends of mine that sell a number of police and home dogs, and they have never had anything but good things to say about the dogs he sold them. To me this is a testimony to his knowledge. This is a guy that thinks eats, and sleeps dogs for most of the year. So if he says a dog is good, then this is a dog that I would look at, and consider.
Did Jack not breed and raise a pup to become the FCI champion? I am not sure as I do not know him.
