Hi everyone, Just was reviewing your ACO comments with a smile on my face. I've been an ACO for the last 22 years,,,am not as intense as I use to be. It still amazes me when people can have a dog in their rear yard and they don't care how it feels, mentally or physically. It's livestock to them, and will always remain so. There are those of us that can relate and interact with a dog, and the majority, which cannot and do not want to expend the energy to nurture and communicate. I've seen some things during this empoyment that most citizens will never see or experience. This doesn't make me "better" and more educated, just makes my "horizons" wider. I take strength from people who really care, especially those that become involved and try to make a difference. They usually do make a difference in many ways, many times giving themselves a pat on the back, because no one else sees their many small successes. We have a volunteer at out shelter that has coordinated a whole group of dog walkers, that take the shelter dogs out of their runs for some exercise. I see the dogs come in, tails wagging, thrilled with their chance to be outside. She gets no money for this. She's one of my favorite people....making a difference. Susan
One of the dogs they saved, I think his name is King, has a great attitude. I think he would've been one of those dogs that'll put a smile to your face no matter how bad your day is, even though a lot of dogs do that. If I lived in New York, I would've adopted that dog as soon as I could.
I love E-vets. When they put down an animal, I tear up cause I know what it's like to lose a pet. I hope they make more shows soon.
I seen bits of that Pet Pyschic, it don't impress me.
