I want a good dog when the time comes, but I'm past the age(ego trippin) where I need the baddest dog on the block. Most on the board have said dominance isn't a necessity for having a great dog. I'm still gonna find a great dog. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I've only had one seriously domanent dog im my lifetime. I had no problem handling him, but why go through that anymore. Thanks Deanna!
Its a fact that a dog HAS to be obediant and it showed in most of the dogs listed on the BSP, HAD they been better at phase 2, they may have walked away with the BSP. Even in Protection Obediance is a must. Having learned from MY mistakes, give me a level headed dog any day over an alligator. I know where to get a good Video on Drive in Protection, if my dog is obedient and has good drive. I agree with yall that getting a pup is the BEST way to have the best dog, Look at it as KNOWING where to fit in..new pack? Where do I fit in? It makes sense. After while I would think, a dog is shell shocked and GETS the way they are..Ed can correct me on this.
