Jeanette, Just ask other dog owners in the area. Some times people will even go to a different vet just for x-rays because they are so good. One owner even snuck her dog into the human hospital to do his films (she was a radiology tech too).
Ron, did the vet let you help? I was just curious because Auster doesn't have any respect for anything the vet tells her (she thinks the vet is a play buddy) so I or another family member usually needs to be with her for the brat to behave. I'm sure it is different for different dogs.

Funny Lauren!!She was a brave soul! I think I'll just find another vet by word of mouth by asking around.
I'm very disappointed that my vet would be such a rip off. I have heard soo much good about him for years. I personally have only seen him once when he evaluated Nero and said,"dx.mild PAno". Usually I see one of the associates that I liked alot. Whitefield owns the practice.
It was just a small outpatient branch, but I still thought it was pretty funny <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> .
One thing I have learned is that vets pay for their new equipment by raising their prices. Since he's an ortho vet he probably wants the latest and greatest, and somebody has to pay for it. It could also have been a typo. 5 and 6 are right above 2 and 3 on the number pad (thinking positive thoughts here).
