I have an 8 month old male gsd from working lines. I got him as a pet,....but, now that I'm having so much fun with this training I'd like to get a little more serious.
Here's where I'm at: I've used Leerburg puppy dvd, the basic ob and Bernard Flinks building drive. We're having a blast. I'm entertaining the thought of persuing a BH with him. Even if he doesn't prove to be a schutzhund dog I think it would be fun to cut my teeth with him.
MY question: Should I just continue with the drive building for the winter (I live in NH) and try to find a club in the spring? OR is there another dvd I should get. Or what??? Thanks for any input!!
Lori
Thanks Deanna,
I'll probably get the dvd's after the holidays. I'm in Hampstead, 1/2 hour south of concord, so either club is within reason. Do they train all year?
I know Merrimac gets a little sporadic through the holidays and extreme cold. I think that Southern NH has a warehouse they use in the Manchester area.
