Marcelo Gonzalez Webboard User Reg: 01-20-2005 Posts: 35 Loc: Offline	I used it when i got my puppy,it seems to be good according to my breeder,I noticed that when I switched to Nutro Natural choice large breed puppy food,the stools were less and less smelly.The kibbles are much smaller in the Best breed brand. The reason I switched, was because you have to get it online only, and I have a pet supermarket arround my house where I can buy Nutro for the same price.

Also, I am getting a dog from the SPCA and one of the women told me that I should feed my dog a low grade dog food when I first get him, I'm not sure I feel comfortable using a grocery store dog food! Any thoughts??

I could only see using it long enough to switch them to a quality food. If the shelter can't tell you what they use, then I wouldn't worry about mixing it and just put them on the other. Angela W. If you know what they've been eating, take a week to wean them to whatever you preffer. If you don't know what they've been eating, start with whatever you wish but be prepared for a few days of upset stomachs. old dogs LOVE to learn new tricks
