I need some input from different departments on there kennel time or time compensated for caring for the dog. We used to get 12 hrs per pay period (2 weeks) but that may no last too much longer. They are attempting to change our times. Also, if it exsist, if anyone knows what the federal guildlines are for this, please let me know. You can also send me a e-mail at e_higgins@charter.net.<br />
Thanks
We get 1 hour per day for kennel and dog care. Training of course, is scheduled duty time. An excellant source for information relative to FLSA is Terry Fleck's outstanding website on Canine Legal Updates and Opinions. YOu can connect to it at: http://www.k9fleck.org

Any behavior that is reinforced is more likely to occur again.
Eugene,
We get an hour a day of duty time when we are working. A half hour before shift, and a half hour at the end of shift. This cuts our 10 hr day to Nine hours on the road. Also, on the three days we are off we are compensated with an hour of overtime for each day off. There have been some grumblings around here of late also so I may be in the same boat with you. FSLA rules say that you have to be compensated for homecare but doesnt say how much. They could probably get away with paying minimum wage.Good Luck
